Why I decided to write a book
I grew up in Chicago and enjoyed reading since I was 9 years old. I wanted to write a book when in high school and I was first introduced to different types of literature. I began seriously thinking about writing again while in college and began writing in my journal at night. I saw an ad on Facebook from a friend which was an invitation to a writing class and this was the motivation I needed to sign up.
Take a class and start writing
I have been writing now for over six years and recently finished my fifth book! Once I decided to start, I jumped in. Having a writing community and continuing to attend class really helps me to stay focused.

College
Finally being independent and living on her own, Sharon faces unfamiliar situations with new friends.
